the process

The whole process of creating KYOKO textiles is done by Kyoko Osato: designing, weaving on a floor loom and felting by hand with a pair of yellow gloves. Touching every single yarn, she makes sure the feel of each piece is right. Her way of combining weaving and felting techniques makes her work more than a flat piece of fabric. Her choice of colour and simple lines creates a timeless look expressing a "less is more" aesthetic influenced both by Japanese culture and a love of simplicity.
